Re: Sampling - how far is too far?
When you sample Pachelbel Canon.
midwinter, great authority on all things both musical and ridiculous, is this song a Palauan anomaly or does it exist stateside? There's rapping, there's a chorus with what sounds like a choir singing, "I'll see you when I get there," and there is, of course, the sampling of Pachelbel Canon.
Please advise.

I *think* it was on the soundtrack for that movie with Martin Lawrence and Tim Robbins. (Yes, you read that right.) Fuck. What was that called?
Ha! Nothing To Lose! I know that because Tim Robbins was in it. So I kind of had to see it.
The video was good. I do remember that. And from Google...
Coolio: CU When You Get There
Shut up. I like that song. Actually, I like any song that samples classical music. Which is why I know that Michael Jackson song "Will You Be There" (Beethoven's 9th, and not the Ode to Joy either). And why I love "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve (okay, not classical music, but it's played by an orchestra).
